ADVISORY BOARDS & PEER ADVISORY

Better decisions, together.

Good leadership benefits from perspective, constructive challenge and people who understand what it’s like to make important decisions.

We bring together small, carefully selected groups of leaders who help each other think, decide and grow, and we design and chair independent advisory boards for individual organisations.

ENGAGE LEADERS FORUM

For club and community leaders.

Ten three-hour sessions a year with up to 12 leaders who face similar challenges: volunteers and people, governance, money, growth and planning ahead. Each session mixes short updates, two member “hot seats” where the group helps with a real issue, and a shared theme.

WHAT’S INCLUDED
10 sessions a year, 3 hours each · a group of up to 12 · mostly online, starting with an in-person session · chaired by Shane or Fiona.

GOOD FOR
Club presidents and committees, leaders of sporting and community organisations, and small-business owners. A club can send two people on one membership.

ENGAGE ADVISORY COLLECTIVE

For business leaders.

A smaller, more personal group of up to 8 owners, executives and leaders. More time on each member’s business, a deep-dive “hot seat” for every member each year, and one-to-one time with your chair between sessions.

WHAT’S INCLUDED
10 sessions a year, 3 hours each · a group of up to 8 · a quarterly 45-minute one-to-one call · an annual deep dive on your own business · mostly online, starting with an in-person session.

GOOD FOR
Owners, founders and leaders of established small, medium and larger businesses who want honest perspective and accountability.

HOW A SESSION WORKS

Three hours, ten times a year.

Every session is prepared, chaired and followed up, so the conversation turns into action.

ADD A SOUNDING BOARD

One-to-one support when you want it.

Members of either group can add regular one-to-one time with their chair: a monthly check-in, or a Sounding Board for confidential support before important decisions.

A DEDICATED ADVISORY BOARD

Your own advisory board.

Some organisations want experienced outside perspectives without making formal board appointments: a growing sports business, a family business, a not-for-profit preparing for its next stage. We help you set up an advisory board that fits, and chair it independently.

WHAT WE DO
Design the board’s purpose and charter · help identify suitable advisers · set the meeting rhythm, agendas and papers · provide an independent chair · review how well it’s working.

GOOD FOR
Owners and boards facing growth, change, investment or a bigger step, who want wise counsel around the table.

It is

Confidential · independently chaired · prepared and followed up · focused on your real decisions · a group that helps you follow through.

It isn’t

A statutory board or governance body · a networking or referral club · a substitute for your own board’s decisions. You stay responsible for your organisation; we help you think it through.

Trust comes first.

Once a year we also bring members of all our groups together in person.

Careful selection

We talk with every prospective member to make sure the mix of people, experience and interests works for the group.

Clear protocols

Confidentiality, conflicts of interest and conduct are agreed by everyone from the first meeting.

Preparation and follow-up

We prepare each session, understand members’ circumstances and follow up on commitments, so momentum carries between meetings.
